Was invited to this event by my friends, so happen to have a camera with me, so thought I should share a few pics.
This event was organised by a local chinese daily- Sin Chew Jit Poh. According to my buddy, the paper will publish a 'Sunshine Girl' every day, and this event is the Final to choose that one best girl. I don't read SCJP cos I don't know how to, so what he told me must be right.

I did not take any pics of their performance, cause I did not want to compete with photographers with those very scary big long lenses. Will not comment on their performance either cause I could neither sing or dance. All of them could sing and dance better than me, so.. good job.
The judges, as seen here were giving points on each of the contestant's hairdo. I think their hair was done by this guy named Micheal Paul.
This celebrity named Ryan, whom I also do not know of, because I don't have the Astro Dynasty Package, were taking group pictures of the ladies.
Pictured here is one arrogant official lady photographer who chased some other photographers away very rudely (Because they were taking up 'her' spot ma). Even this pic managed to capture part of her sour face. Hopefully her new year's resolution is to learn some manners. I support you in your resolution, Ms official photographer!!
Finally, to choose the winners, the public were allowed on the stage to paste a sticker on the fan that is being held by the girl of their choice. I kinda disagree with this method of picking the winner because its a little heartbreaking to see the reaction those girls who did not get any or only a little votes. They were trying to mask their feelings by smiling widely. At times, their disappointment showed.
2 of my friends liked the number 4 contestant who unfortunately did not get much vote. The number 1 contestant got the most vote and also a HUGE flower by a guy, who John labelled as "Hou-Lan-Yeng"- polite translation= Overly fashionable for his own good. Impolite literal translation= Very d**k stylish, or very f**king stylish.
My choice of the "Sunshine Girl" is of course the "Miss Arrogant Photographer".
Her face is so dark, definitely in need of more sunshine. Maybe, winning this award can make her smile more often.
